Jack the Ripper
In 1888, the brutal murders of five "working women" brought the world's attention to London. With a Dominant Impression Number of 5, Jack the Ripper was probably a dynamic, attractive person who lived a sociable life when not prowling the London streets looking for his next victim. Since 5s are excellent at self-promotion, he probably excelled professionally -- if he wasn't famous and constantly in the public eye, the Ripper was probably a respected doctor, lawyer or public servant.

The Zodiac Killer
He claimed seven victims throughout the 1960s, and most of them were young couples. He used either a gun or knife, and liked to tease both press and law enforcement by sending letters in code to newspapers. The Zodiac's Dominant Impression Number is 8, a predatory number known for ruling over even the strong. Consider how his clean assassination technique, and savvy way of communicating with the media, became a national obsession. His work tied up the resources of countless law enforcement officials -- and continues to do so 40 years later!

The Axeman of New Orleans
He terrorized New Orleans for a year, killing at least 12 victims. He seemed to pick his victims randomly -- young and old, women and children, from a variety of backgrounds. He also wrote smug letters to the local newspaper. Out of these three killers, the Axeman's Numerology -- a Dominant Impression Number of 7 -- seems the least accurate, perhaps because the Axeman did not suggest his own nickname. What's strange is that 7s are known for high levels of intelligence, but the Axeman's method of murder depended on force, not skill. He may have been an educated man with (no pun intended) an ax to grind.
